The so-called "left" does tend to market fear to the masses in order to attain (and retain) power. I believe the ultimate fear marketing can be found in the "right's" camp. Here's why, they are forcing citizens to abandon their constitutional rights because there might be terrorists. We're being asked to spy on neighbors because they might be terrorists. We're being asked to treat a group of citizens as pariahs because these "cells" might be terrorists who have infiltrated this country. They act like law-abiding citizens even working and raising families here while they plot against this country. It's an "orange" day today, btw. I think the scales show the greater heft of fear marketing is on the right. IMO, of course...
