LES: Is this widely known: The Federal Open Market Committee, which buys and sells securities daily to keep money flowing smoothly through markets at its target interest rate, can expand what assets it accepts as security against short-term loans. It recently added debt of the Government National Mortgage Association, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to that list.?
