The shah was at least marginally preferable to Khomeini. Ah, yes, but you suddenly forget what you said two sentences before: The key question is what is the alternative. The U.S. had no choice between Khomeini and the Shah. That decision was made by the Iranian people (much to your chagrin). The American choice was between the Shah and a democratically elected leader (Mossadeqh). And the scumbags who run our foreign policy make that same choice 7 days a week, while people like you lie about it to the American public so that they won't find out what is being done in their name.
