Kiwis live on a little island in the middle of the ocean - a kind of rearguard chimpoid species That's only because New Zealand has been controlled by a few wealthy families, leaving no economic opportunity for everyone else. For a very, very long time any New Zealander with intelligence or ambition has left for Australia, UK, US, Canada or elsewhere. Only those without without marketable skills or ambition remain and have children. I'm convinced New Zealand has become a grand experiment in natural selection.
