"In other words we may be closer than you think :-)" Yes, that's true. I still think there's a lot of "fixing" to be done in this country. Afghanistan is still pretty unstable. The Israel/Palestine problem worsens. Does the world need another war now? I don't want that to happen.

Well my proudest moments as an American (in my lifetime) were Kennedy and the Cuban Missle Crisis, Reagan's campaign against the Soviets, Bush 1 in Kuwait and Somalia and Clinton in the Balkans.

My worst moments were the Bay of Pigs, Vietnam, Panama, Rwanda and Clinton in Somalia.


Fascinating list. I, obviously, would add and subtract but I think I see the reasons you have for each entry.
