Bush revealed that he watched filmed/taped footage of the FIRST jet that crashed into the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11. Bush has stated as CLEAR AS DAY that around 9 AM on September 11 he watched the FIRST "hijacked" jet slam into the World Trade Center towers on a television set. And I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on, and I use to fly myself, and I said, "There's one terrible pilot." And I said, "It must have been a horrible accident." But I was whisked off there -- I didn't have much time to think about it, and I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my chief who was sitting over here walked in and said, "A second plane has hit the tower. Video of that first plane hitting the tower taken by security cameras did not air publicly until DAYS AFTERWARDS. What's more: there is NO reason bush would have thought a passenger jet hitting the WTC in perfectly clear, calm weather was due to any kind of "pilot error." This is merely disingenuous chaff being emitted by bush to cloud the issue and deflect. And we should all keep in mind: by bush's own admission even after Card DID inform him of the second attack and Bush KNEW the Trade Center had been nailed, he just sat there and kept (trying to) read. Later in his address to the entire nation (not to mention the rest of the world, undoubtedly watching) he said, "Immediately following the first attack, I implemented our government's emergency response plans." THAT IS A HUGE LIE. Now...either he knew it was an attack immediately or he lied when he said he thought it was pilot error. It could NOT have been both. In any case...I wasn't aware that our government's emergency response plan was to have the Commander in Chief read a beginning readers book to elementary school kids. Impeachment's too good for him.
