Paul,

good to hear back from you. Best Buy reported earnings at the upper end of range yesterday and actually got upgraded. It was the only stock in the green in my entire watch list yesterday. I like to see that kind of strength following a purchase where the stock has been beaten down.

I'll look at Emerson, but can't say that I've ever looked at the company until now.

It's funny that you mention cleaning out portfolios. I'm doing the same thing right now. Getting rid of stocks forces me to approach from the standpoint of "would I buy this stock right now" rather than "should I hold onto this stock". In the past I've found portfolio purges to be a good thing, as I have a tendency to hold onto junk for too long - I'm more critical in the buy decision than the sell decision.

Like you though, I'm focusing on quality as it appears quality is on sale right now. Honestly, it's the first time since I've started tracking (3-4 years) where I've seen so many big companies fitting a Buffet profile that are also interesting from a valuation standpoint.
