An Anti-War Movement of One
A conservative breaks ranks with both the right and left to oppose an Iraq attack.

Great commentary.
The very few that oppose war is alarming. Even if going to attack Iraq is the right thing, the lack of opposition to war is what is really troubling.

My own view is that the US bound to destined fall like Rome, British Empire--all powers do. I just think it will happen more quickly if the US wants to view itself as the world ruler. The resentment it creates will make it harder for US corporations to do business elsewhere in the world (even with strong allies). I fear that the big US names like Micorosoft, Intel, Cisco, Qualcomm and the big consumer and aerospace will get hurt. This is showing up with how Boeing is struggling with Airbus right now. Boeing is going to be more and more dependent on military spending. This is just the first example. Other countries will feel threatened by the US military power especially if Iraq is attacked without UN approval. Foreign media will be all over this story...as it gets reflected in their media, people's opinions are moulded....and they start subconsiously not wanting to buy American...and then it goes from there.
