Jim:
Here are a couple of examples from one seller:

cgi.ebay.com

cgi.ebay.com

I was the buyer on the first listing, this guy is good to deal with. I have tried to split my physical gold position 50% American Gold Eagles and 50% $20 Saints and Libs. I did this because when FDR authorized the theft government of gold from the citizens, collectible gold coins were not taken.

The problem with ebay is that most sellers don't put up a large enough quantity of coins to make it worthwhile of a true investment. Also have to check the sellers feedback closely before bidding.

Tulving.com is probably the best bet for online transactions. I've used him twice for small transactions. Also used his prices to work my local dealer down on his prices. For example I picked up some 1 oz gold eagles last Saturday for $323 each. And picked up the 1000 oz silver bar for 4.07 per oz 2-3 weeks ago.

I think ebay is just one avenue for picking up some gold pieces, though I've done better with my local dealer in the long run. Now he calls when he finds a deal I might want and I go right away if I like the deal.
PM me if you want any more info.
