If you look at my "BLOOD" thread circa 1996, I divided the semi-equips into 4 "quality" and 4 "value". I stated that I thought "quality" would do better in the long run. The "value" companies reached 2 x cash and 1.5 x book, but the "quality" did better. My current 8 are ALL "quality". I started watching LLTC and all Silicon Valley companies in 1990. LLTC was always "too expensive". I first bought some in 1998. I think that in the current environment, "quality" has become of paramount importance both for the survival of the company and the peace of mind of the investor.
