I think RR is referring to that kid Frankie Hoosen that he knew back in grade school.

The only thing is RR is getting confused.

He wasn't the Quarterback.

Instead he was the dude that lent 25 cents to RR so he could buy a Scooter Pie or a Neehi but then later he asked for his "Quarter Back"...

The story goes that he took that quarter and bought 1 share of GE back when they only owned a light bulb store in Arkansas.

He was amazed at the technology. No more candles or lanterns.

(Mind you this was in the 1950's. Apparently light bulbs got to Arkansas a little bit later than most places.)

<Not really. He's just kiddin'.>

Anyhow that 25 cents grew into bazillions as he leveraged his way up and sold covered calls through out the years...

The rest is history.

I hear Mr Hoosen is buying again.

He likes SEBL, QCOM, BRCD, BRCM, and a few other promising companies... <g>

Oh yeah. He also loves CREE.

It's that light bulb thing again, I guess...
