Iraqi society is not like Korea, Germany or Japan, it isn't cohesive or unified in any sense.

Still recall years ago when I first heard the Middle East referred to as "a series of quarrels surrounded by borders".
I'd only add that the cartographer that drew the borders must have been smoking one of those middle eastern water pipes.
