That is beautiful. I know it makes some in the deaf community angry. And it is easy to see why they would be angry. If deafness is fixable there will be no deaf community after a while. We are probably living (I hope) in the last days of deafness. This always makes me think of all those people in iron lungs. They had a community too. But I think we can all recognize that it is a good thing the community is no longer necessary.
