Certainly, the more grandiose plans have often come later, like building elaborate camps primarily for extermination. On the other hand, the Nazis were beating Jews to death on the streets, if they got "uppity", pretty much from the beginning. (See "Cabaret", based on "I am a Camera", Christopher Isherwood's fictionalized memoir of his time in Berlin just before the Nazis came to power. In a powerful scene, the Nazis are beating a Jew to death, and the Isherwood alter- ego intervenes, and himself is beaten bloody).......One of the big grievances from the War is that many Jews would have left had there not been restrictive quotas, especially in the UK and the US, and that many would have fled to Palestine had it not been for restrictions placed on Jewish immigration by the British. That is why the Irgun blew up the King David hotel.......
