In the interest of fairness, I think if you re-read Jewel's post, you will realize that he was not referring to you.

In a venue where we have only words to go by, the possibility of mis-speaking and misunderstanding are greatly compounded.

Sometimes what appears as "word-twisting" is no more than a good faith effort to get things untwisted.
