Also I heard at the time 2 weeks ago that BA was going to build the sat and Measat would not have to pay anything until it was in orbit. But my contact was not sure about that one so I didn't say anything at the time.

Safety: BA to supply F-16's through GD? Does not make sense to me. Why would Boeing offer a Lockheed product? They might offer to buy 16s and replace then with Boeing products (15 or 18s). Fighters are a much better business than satellites - especially to countries where you can sell infrastructure support. Both the sat and the fighters have to be approved through US Govt channels, so a new fighter offer is beyond Boeing's ability to promise. They certainly would not champion Lockheed's planes through Congress.
