Of course, such a touchstone goes a long way towards verifying my honesty as a poster. But even apart from that, there is such a thing as plausibility, or comparative probabilities. The probability of even a precocious youngster impersonating a middle aged man successfully is so negligible, it is hardly worth entertaining. Even in 3D, a number of "mare's nest" possibilities never come to mind because it is so unlikely that the party or parties would have the motivation, talent, or means to engage in an elaborate charade. We are not without resources to have at least a fair degree of confidence in the sincerity of the people we engage on line. Some people elicit, of course, no confidence at all...........
