I have no idea what he is or is not trying to do.
5000 DOW is a very very reasonable traget IMO.
3000 DOW is possible (and probably deserved but I doubt we get there).

Yo do have a point in that he does have bonds to promote.

Not only that, but he did it to market himself. He got a nice write-up in "Business Week" this week.

He's not dumb. In the U.S. financial world, it doesn't matter if you are wrong, everybody forgets. But if you are right ONE time, we will worship you forever as a God. Remember Joe Granville?
