wstera_02,

You seem to be willing to consider an opinion that you don't share. I'm gratified. More on that later.

Reading your long post, what immediately pops out is that you didn't dispute, refute or comment upon a single issue. What you did do however was to engage in ad hominem
attacks both on Stockman Scott and Scott Ritter without a shred of credible fact or cogent opinion on the issues at all. This is disappointing, and very typical of RW attack pieces. Where I've invariably found when your positions and fact case are so weak, prejudiced and based on mythology that they can't be exposed to the light of day, you attack the messenger and disregard the message. Very poor form. Very unlikely that you will actually persuade anyone with an open mind and a penchant for honesty with such an effort.

**********************
The truth of the matter is that you suffer from the very same problem that King Georgus I, FD, Protector of the Empire suffers from. A lack of clothes.

It's time for you to face the facts:

allhatnocattle.net

IRAQ: Articles from The Progressive: (archival, shows US/UK criminal intent in destroying water supplies)
progressive.org./0801issue/nagy0901.html
progressive.org./0801issue/press0901.html

The man you apparently support, George Bush, is a hypocrite. He's engaged in vicious games of propagandizing and terrorizing the American public. Lying with every word:

IRAQ: Excellent Point by Point Refutation of Bush's Lies in front of the UN yesterday. Recommended:
counterpunch.org

Compare:

IRAQ: Recognized Experts from JANES Group, UK dispute Bush Claims about Iraqi WMD preparedness:
freshair.npr.org
Real Audio: npr.org

******************************
Let's hear your refutation of this fact case. Not another silly and puerile ad hominem attack against the honest messenger.

Salaam aleikum, Ray

In your case, you seem to have gone for the Twofer:
m-w.com

Try harder and you can hit the Trifecta of poor taste! Just like George!

<<...you claim to have read every one of those articles. You claim you are open minded. You claim you that you don't always agree with everything in an article you post.

IMVHO, the facts overwhelmingly speak otherwise...>>

Tim: I'm glad you have it all figured out...This is not a 'No Spin Zone' like you'd find on The O'Reilly Factor...Are all the posters out here 'Fair and Balanced' all the time (just like the FoxNews Network)...?? This is The Golden JackASS Debate Porch and last time I checked NO rules applied here...jw or SOROS will correct me if i'm wrong...There are A LOT of JackASS's out here (and I'm definately one of them)...You don't have to read any of my posts...There are plenty of others to choose from out on SI. If you don't like an Op-Ed that I may post then read one of Jim Woolly's -- he's NOT SHY when it comes to providing a critique (of an economic system, a president, a congress, a corrupt corporate leader, etc)...Anything goes out here...Read at your own risk...=)

Hope you have a good weekend.

regards,

-Scott

btw, on some things we'll have to learn to agree to disagree.

"Was Bush Sr aware of all the atrocities in Iraq then?"
Get real. Hell, even I was aware of the atrocities. They were talked about on things called radio and TV, and in newspapers and magazines, which were sort of pre-net methods of communicating news.. Of course, Bush didn't know what a bar scanner was, so maybe he was out of the loop and had plausible deniability so he could barf on the prime minister of Japan, which is actually a whole lot couther than his son, who is shitting on the entire world.

Rat

whoops, make that defecating onthe wirld.

who gives a shit? move on... not worth it
I read 2-3 out of 10 that ScottStockFace posts
surely, many have a liberal bias
it is their turn

from 1996-2000, the predominant editorials had a conservative bias
I didnt like that any more than liberal bias
but who gives a shit?

Tim, if you think that bias, ignoring facts, not reading history or learning from it, alienating allies, and promoting conflict despite blindly regarding risks is ALL FARFETCHED...

then I have a VietNam War to show you
our country's history is littered with amateurs embarking on adventures, setting up puppet govts abroad, only to watch in dismay as "blowback" occurs
e.g. Iran, VietNam, Afghanistan

I look at Scott's posts as 50% illuminating, 25% biased crapp, and 25% not worth reading a 37th time on well-covered material

I personally wish he had a more balanced set of posted messages, but so what?

I dont read half of your stuff either, which I largely consider biased on the other side. but with far more claims about being factual (which is always very humorous)
