No. Hitler was not aiming for Iraq, since the fields there were in their infancy. Hilter aimed for Ploesti in Romania and then Baku in the USSR. Those were the oil fields he wished to occupy. George Bush, OTOH, sees the Iraqi oil fields as as ripe for looting. Bush most certainly does plan to post garrisons of U.S. troops in the Iraq fields to protect the interests of Exxon-Mobil, Amoco, Chervon, Oxy, Unocal and the others. Just as he has done in Afghanistan, Kygryzstan and Uzbekistan as well as sending a contingent to cover proposed pipeline routes in Georgia. Among other "undisclosed" locations.
