Cary,
05 and 06 indicate to me that chips will lag here in any market bounce. Is it possible that switching into sectors that will benefit immediately like defense might be the move and then a switch back to chips later on? Perhaps the chips will be great value stocks then and morph back into growth.
Another question, Why must things get better in tech. What has to happen? Killer apps? Aging equip base both corp and individual? If anything capex in all industries died in july and just got worse in september. All the bullish signs prior to july have faded with the market action. New rounds of layoffs coming. This is the end--not of the world but of the bear. And market should resume regular role as anticipator of future eco action 6-9 months out. Am i right? Mike
