I agree with that. I think I meant, that our standing armies are always ready to fight. And that as cycles go, we are peaked. And while like a good boxer, when he is in peak shape you want him to fight to maintain his skills, in isn't always true with an army. It seems necessary to use them sometimes to maintain their abilities, but yet it also is counterproductive to having an army.

I don't think we are looking for a fight just to maintain our armies.

But moral is not that great after 8 years of Clinton. He not only decimated the intelligence corps, he made a joke out of the military. He took over the greatest armies in the history of the world, and moral at it's peak from their great victory in Iraq. And he took them to the trough in Somalia, and left American pride their for the world to laugh at. That made bin Laden a god to the poor. And from there, all Clinton would do is bomb people.

Afghanistan has been a good primer to get the moral back up. And that is no longer an issue, the damage CLinton did. We are ready to go.

For liberty's sake, we must go.

I don't think we're "primed" for a fight, as you suggest... I think many countries are simply jealous of our freedoms, power, and wealth, and they'll cheer on the little dictatorships just to see the big guy on the block get a bloody nose... this doesn't make them right, it only displays their stupidity and lack of foresight... they have no vision... and sometimes the big guy has to set them straight...

GZ, don't cloud the matter with petty emotions.........the issue is that European democracies see a preemptive strike as dangerous behavior and not the slam dunk that Mr. Bush does. Be careful the leader you blindly follow.
