If as you say Europe is a "Judeofascist" continent, why would Europe reject Turkey when Turkey has strong alliances with Isra'El and recieves training from them?

Len, you're on Gus's side and you're not supposed to pretend not to notice when he says things that don't make sense. Just leave it alone and he'll overlook your slipup. But watch it.

"Strong"?!? Well, I'm afraid the alliance between Turkey and Israel is not that strong.... Do you think Sharon and Ecevit see eye to eye on Iraq? You talk of Europe encircling the Arabs but that's rather the Turks' feeling: Turkey is currently encircled by hostile/lukewarm powers: Greece, Russia, the EU, Iraq/Kurdistan, Syria, and Israel. As you can see, Turkey must do its best to hit it off --if only grudgingly-- with at least one neighbor... Israel just fits the bill --but let's not fool ourselves. Turkey's public opinion feels closer to the oppressed Palestinian people than to Israeli settlers. I even think that part of the Turkish military suspect that Turkey's alliance with the US might be on the line.... Who knows how Cheney and Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz feel about Turkey? The Cold War's over... Who needs the Turkish bulwark anymore? If US hawks can brazenly talk of dismissing Saudi Arabia then why not discarding Turkey as well?

Gus

Another hint at Europe's Judeofascist mindset....

Excerpt:

Sharon even received a positive response when he told the largely Evangelical crowd of visiting Pope John Paul II prior to his visit here in 2000. Sharon said that the pope told him that Jerusalem was holy to Jews, Christians, and Moslems. Then Sharon related, the pontiff added, "But it was promised only to the Jews."
