He hasn't checked in with me lately. But you best remember that Gore was one of the Dem Senators who voted against sanctions in 90-91. He may well be a hawk on Iraq. Most probably will argue for UN approval.

My concern is the great turn in American foreign policy as witnessed by the strike first doctrine and the arguments which lie beneath it.

Lieberman favors action against Iraq. I read a while back that Lieberman was somewhat impatient about whether Gore would run again or not, but my impression is that he was thinking about running for President himself. No idea whether Gore would choose Lieberman as potential Veep again, but if so, outspoken opposition by Gore to war on Iraq would not be conducive to that.
