Hi X, Just a thought on this beautiful evening of the last day of summer from the eastern slope of the Sierra. But now unfortunately to the "nitty gritty" of life on SI and elsewhere. So-called self-described "icons" of SI make statements, out of the blue, "Do you understand?" So I answer that question politely, but I should say, "I understand more than you will ever see".. Or they don't answer at all.. I imagine most of these remarks come from those in the "Endzone of the stadium of life", where they can only see the home team when they are at that end.. So I would suggest, They abandon the "cheap seats" of life, and spend a buck or two extra on the "understanding and thoughtfulness" ticket on the 50 yard line where they could see both sides.. JMA..being (just my analogy).. Take care, m
