The single most salient piece of advice that the Clinton administration passed on to the Bush administration 21 months ago was: "Watch out for the terrorists." Unfortunately, the right-wing attack dogs spinning disinformation from the White House spent way too much time trying to fabricate a White House vandalism story ... and Bush and his conservative coterie of confidants spent way too much time on Star Wars, China, etc. ... that this administration overlooked the real threat. If there is a real culprit in this mess, it's the lack of information sharing between the CIA and FBI, which is what happens when you put too many Ivy League Republicans in positions of power.
