US needs to guarantee Russians that a friendly Iraqi government will recognize their 10 billion dollar debt to Iraq, but there will be no room for Russians in Iraq's oilfield. That has already allocated to Exxon-Mobile, Chevron-Texaco, BP,Bechtel, and Halliburton. After all, Russian oil&gas operators have no capacity to up-grade Iraqi oilfield and production. Iraqi oil will fuel economic recovery in the US , will be pay one trillion dollar for need for reconstruction of Iraq, will reduce dependency on Saudi Arabia and will take away Iraqi threat. In the absence of balance of power, we can not afford to leave in a world that terrorist such as Saddam challenges US and world security. The war on Iraq is a must.

As for Iraq contacts with Al Qaeda, it needs no proof, they tried to kill president Bush Sr. in Kuwait, and they did meet with Ata, not only. Ata visited Baghdad and met with Saddam.
