Conflation, Nadine. There is no doubt the nature of the threat has changed since 9-11. But that is a threat from Al Q, not from nation states. The Bush folk still have not offered serious arguments and evidence why they think the US should invade Iraq to stop Al Q.

They have not been able to link Al Q via Atta, though they must have tried mightily. They look sideways, almost embarrassed, everytime a spokesperson says Saddam is "harboring" Al Q as if they know they have no evidence he is harboring any more than any other country in which Al Q cells live.
