Duray's approach will ensure that more "WTC"s come down. Thousands of people will be within them — be it perhaps Sears Tower, Empire State Building, World's Biggest Ball of Twine in Ottuma, Iowa, etc...

He chastises the younger Bush for being proactive, whilst applying equal blame to the elder Bush, a relatively reactive figure in comparison. Reactive didn't accomplish much. Reactivist policy kept Saddam in power with ability to threaten. Same reactive policy guided our bureaucratics towards ignoring signs that eliminated those two big towers with real people inside.

Perhaps Ray's best argument should be that all-inclusive, dual-sided nuclear strikes ought to end this discussion. To be certain, no one would be alive enough to point out his fallacy.
