I guess you would characterize me as a romantic as in romanticism. Poetry about nature is included in romanticism. And I feel that nature is a truer connection to God than the church. The reason being that God created all of the wonders of nature and to admire them is to be with God.

A definition of romanticism from the Romantic Period. According to this article the Romantic period began in 1798.
