I did not see when the law kicks in after it is signed.
If it starts next year there will be a mad rush of bankrupcy filings later this year to beat the deadline.

Bankruptcy Rant.....
I am very very annoyed by this law and this administration.

We have predatory lending practices at obscene interest rates, practically pushed down the throats of people who can not affford it, at interest rates (after the initial tease that are usuary) a way of figuring the rate that totally screws the customer (with Discover card and others), obscene fees, and now they want these people to be indebted for life with no way out.

I am sick at the greed and gall of the credit and banking insdustry.
Small debtors getting screwed to death when there are hundreds of billions of $ lent to countries like Brazil that will never pay back dime one.

I hope JPM goes under.
I hope COF goes under.

I am totally disgusted with Bush, the banking industry, big oil, and all their money grubbing tactics, while wasting taxpayer $ bailing out C and JPM with more loans to Brazil, while doing everything possible to squeeze the little guy in the US.

Hey, let's bring back the company store.

16 tons and what do ya get
Another day older and deeper in debt
St. Peter wont you tell me cause I don't know
I owe my soul to the company store

(what is that 3rd line anyway cause I am sure I messed it up)

Why don't they prevent companies from going bankrupt?

M
