I dread quicksand. I saw too many horror movies when I was a kid. Quicksand was prominent in movies of that era.

I checked some old workings on Friday where the remains of the original prospector was found in a trench eaten by a bear. As I headed back I realized my trail was covered with fresh bear droppings, just then the chopper fired up to reposition itself because it was sinking in a floating bog. I had a moment of dread until I could see he positioned himself closer to me.

Bears are better than sharks because one can convert them into nice rugs.
