My hunch is that Colin Powell is a prudent and reluctant warrior who is getting quite frustrated. I had high hopes for Colin Powell, but a combination of experiences, growing up black, and suceeding by following orders in the military have left him unable to actually play an influential role. The chicken-hawks now know how to push his buttons such that he will ultimately do anything they want no matter how much he dislikes or disagrees with the proposal. He thinks he is a servant of the President instead of a servant of the country. TP
