I just watched Elliot Cohen get interviewed by Brian Lamb on Booknotes.

I've concluded that the book most likely grew out of his dissatisfaction with the outcomes of the first Gulf War. However, the argument is not, actually, a neocon argument; it's simply an argument about civilian control of the military.

Gordon Craig has an interesting review of Cohen in the latest issue of The New York Review of Books. I saw no reason to post it because it simply echoes what we've already said. But you might enjoy reading it.
