How can you be up 13.5% on PWI. You started with 1000 units of PWI at $7.00.

-- And my theory states which you harped on for so long that I add more at lower levels. LIKE IN THAT LUS ex LIKE IN THAT MXT ex LIKE NOW FOR PWI. That 5000 more units bought lowers the average cost base down to $6.16. As I said before. And as I said before now after harping for so long about adding more at lower levels like my theory says. YOU CHANGE THE RULES. CANT DO THAT. YOU HARPED ON THE MORE NOW YOUR STUCK WITH THAT MORE PLAIN AND SIMPLE. So as I said one has an average cost of $6.16 with 6000 units with a cost of $37000. With the unit price going back to $7 thats $42000. $42000 - $37000 is $5000 or 13.5%. THAT IS WHAT MY THEORY SAYS AND THIS IS WHAT IT DELIVERS. And it beats everything you have presented. And now I can add it beating ERF NAE and PWI. THAT MAKES PETER 6 LORNE 0.

Assuming that you did not switch, but continued to hold PWI (which is what you have stated is the proper strategy in numerous posts over the last 8 months)

---- YOUR BACK BEDDLING HERE GO BACK TO THAT POST YOU HARPED ON IT DOES NOT SAY JUST CONTINUE TO HOLD IT SAYS ADD MORE LOWERING YOUR COST BASE. HARDLY ALL MY CASES HAVE BEEN AN ACCUMULATE ON WEAKNESS. CHECK ANY AND ALL POSTINGS ITS ALL THERE AND DOCUMENTED. ---------

---- Now for that post of yours
Message 18019892

in it it says
Lorne: "However according to your insane logic it is ALWAYS better to invest in the one you already hold."
Peter: "------- Now it is ALWAYS (emphasis added) better because for those longer term concerned it allows them to lower their cost base."

----- Now it clearly says """it allows them to lower their cost base"""" How do you lower your cost base by buying more lower. 5000 more units units bought at $6 then lowers ones cost base to $6.16. JUST AS THE THEORY SAYS. AND JUST AS WAS DONE. THOSE ARE THE FACTS AND YOU KINDLY PRESENTED THEM YOURSELF AND HARPED ON THEM TIME AFTER TIME. WHAT A DOLT YOU ARE.---------------- NOW YOU DONT WANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT. BECAUSE IT CLEARLY SHOWS YOU TO BE WRONG AS USUAL. SO ITS PETER 6 LORNE 0. Want to present more???????--------

you would now hold 1000 PWI at $6.24. How does that become a 13.5% gain?

------ AS STATED ABOVE AND BY MY THEORY WHICH YOU PUT INTO THAT POSTING OF YOURS. AND FROM MY DOCUMENTED POSTING THE PRICE CLEARLY WENT BACK UP TO $7 AND PAST and from that time of the post going to that $7 makes it a gain in that post of 13.5% as was stated then. Because you are wrong then as the data clearly shows, now once again you have to change your tactics saying that at this time the price of PWI is lower. THAT DOESNT MATTER ONE BIT BECAUSE YOU YOURSELF WAS TALKING ABOUT RIGHT AFTER THE TIME OF THE SWITCH NO WHERE DO YOU SAY 6 MONTHS LATER ITS AT THE TIME OF THE SWITCH WE HAVE BEEN TALKING OF. NOW BECAUSE YOUR WRONG WITH THAT TIME LINE THEN ITS CHANGE THE RULES ONCE AGAIN. STICK TO THE THEORY AND STICK TO AT THE TIME OF THE SWITCH. -------

------- NOW TO PROVIDE AFURTHER BIT TO THAT I ADDED THE FOLLOWING

"it is down unrealized and that will just disappear and turn into a gain the next time around". I tell you what, genius. Take your statement to a bank and tell them that you want to use your PWI as collateral, but they should just ignore the loss and treat PWI as still being at $7.00.

------ HAVE BEEN DOING JUST THAT VERY THING AS I SAID BEFORE I HAVE INVESTMENT LINES OF CREDIT AND MAKE REPORTS TO THE BANK EACH QUARTER> WITH THAT THEORY I WAS ABLE TO DOUBLE MY CREDIT LINE JUST BECAUSE THE UNIT PRICES HAD RISEN ABOVE MY AVERAGE COST BASE AS I SAID WELL IN ADVANCE. IT IS LIKE THE TIME YOU SAID THAT NCF I FIRST BOUGHT AT $18 and you said it was now down to $10. I said I was buying more reducing my costs because the price would recover and the price for NCF did recover to $14. AS I SAID IT WOULD. NCF THEN FELL ONCE AGAIN BACK TO $10 and once again I bought more and as I stated in my postings the price had then risen after that to past $12. Past my cost base as I said it would. IT DID. And the historical trading record says it will do so many times still because it has done it many times before. ------

When they get quit laughing,

------ THERE NOT LAUGHING I AM BECAUSE I GOT MY DOUBLING OF MY CREDIT LINE BECAUSE OF THE THEORY AND ITS DOCUMENTED RESULTS ------ READ IT AN WEEP LOSER------------

tell them it's the right thing to do because Rev Canada doesn't recognize unrealized losses. Please let us know their response.

----- THEY WHOLE HEARTILY AGREE BECAUSE EACH AND EVERY QUARTER I SHOW THEM MY RESULTS THE RESULTS ALL DOCUMENTED HERE IN THE PAST POSTINGS ------------

You are confusing tax treatment of profits or losses with the actual fact of profits or losses.

------- NOT CONFUSING ANYTHING BECAUSE WHEN THE TRUSTS HAVE COLLAPSED I HAVE BOUGHT MORE AND MUCH MORE> THAT LOWERS MY COST BASE> AND THE PRICES THEN HAVE RISEN GIVING ME GAINS I CAN SHOW TO THE BANKERS. PURE AND SIMPLE -----------

Assuming that you did not switch, but continued to hold PWI (which is what you have stated is the proper strategy in numerous posts over the last 8 months)

------ You state here that my strategy is to just "continue to hold " (according to you no buying on weakness or buying more) and that that is said over all my past postings. Well lets see if that is correct. Or if I do indeed say accumulate on weakness lowering ones cost base in those past postings -----------

Message 18021883

---- Interesting that in the above past post you acknowledge that I lower my cost base by buying more. But now flip flop to say that I don't do that. Which is it??? you change your story so fast when your proved wrong with it ---------

Message 18019956

---- Interesting that in the above post I explain my strategy to you as I did to Scott he understood said it was simple enough. Where in that does it say just hold and don't add or dont buy more. Later on you acknowledge that nothing wrong with it and better than most --------- FIP FLOP -----

--- from the above
------------ I currently am not buying anymore trusts. Having bought MUCH on the way down and am just sitting by enjoying the rise of the last several months and the income. Have already made arrangements and gotten my increase in investment line of credit. To use in special situations (rights and warrants) or on a pull back when it next comes. To repeat the whole thing all over again.---------------

------from that post
""""I guess that all depends on who you ask. What they look at. What they do or have done. And what their time frame is. For myself that trust is well into more and more gains (from lowering of cost base with the accumulating on weakness of the last several months and the recent rises we have been enjoying) and I got good high current income the whole time. HARDLY THE WEAKEST. -------------------"""

---- Now where in the above do I say I just buy and hold as is always the case its accumulate on weakness lowering ones cost base and enjoying the rise from that ----------

"""With my accumulating on the way down from acceptable levels according to my method ( post # 1998 )
and the recent big moves from the lower levels of the past few months. As well as my recent rights plays (EIT). My portfolio of income trust holdings is at new record high levels"""" -------------- Maybe not forever. But considering where we came from, back at SEPT 11 2001, when the terrorist attack sent everything into a tailspin. The recent ride up has been enjoyable and profitable. The key is to take advantage of the falls when they come. Ignore the doom and gloomers. Let those who missed out at the lowest levels chase after the rise as long as it lasts. See how many get stuck buying just before the next fall. I'll collect my increased income from my accumulating and rights plays of the last several months. Keeping an eye open for some special situations or opportunities going forward. Then do the whole thing over again the next time around. All with the same great results. As I like to say ITS DOCUMENTED.
