come out of the woods within site of my truck I had a very good sense of direction when I was young. I believe that the brain contains just enough magnetic iron compounds to make a good, intuitive compass. After years of living in a city with it's criss-crossed power lines the magnetic orientation has been scambled for me. I can still remember when it happened, I was dizzy and lost for a couple weeks. Afterward I could not tell North from South again without landmarks. TP
