That's an interesting view, but one to which I don't subscribe. As McNealy has been pointing out recently, their business model actually works quite well; they managed to accumulate quite a bit of cash during the boom, and have held onto it in the decline without decimating the company. The Internet is still young, and isn't going away, despite the waning of enthusiasm for it in the stock market. It's very different from a "tulip craze" which values diseased bulbs -- the Internet is truly useful in many ways.

Edit: Perhaps one should consider whether the "PC craze" is about to begin its decline in favor of a less "diseased" way of providing information and computation.

I think they'll do well in storage and Linux based systems; being first is good, but it's not the only way.

JMHO.
