imho, i think the judge presiding over the msft antitrust hearing will force msft to open up their source code to the public. this would be a fair and a far less invasive way (i.e., compared to a breakup of the empire) to attempt to create competition in the desktop environment. it has been rumored that billy bad himself might settle on this issue before judgement.

my question is what effect would this have on sunw and other IT companies such as orcl, ibm, sap, beas, etc.
