15:09 ET QLGC QLogic sells off following presentation (26.95 -1.59)
We are hearing that QLGC just reaffirmed their previous Q3 forecast of 3-8% sequential rev growth during their presentation at the Banc of America investor conference; however, the stock has sold off in the last half hour as apparently the Street was expecting a higher number.

Did you listen to the chambers call, its still on the website... pretty outstanding.

I am impressed by his knowledge of enterprise software systems. He understands the business process architecture vs. technical architecture issues. I'm glad cisco chose oracle as an ERP partner vs SAP years ago (when SAP may have been the obvious choice) because with oracle they get a little more of the advances in infrastructure (app servers etc) and can become a real showplace- same with Dell going oracle. Sap is more closed, hard to customize (but more feature rich).

Chambers is really hot on e-learning isn't he (made me think of that dthnk stock last week).

I read the yahoo articles on the conference ("Chambers denies giving guidance") - it made it seem like he was hiding something. He said right up front this was an industry wide presentation not specific to cisco and he doesn't provide current quarter guidance anyway. The media is representing the current negative bias.
