Do you ever wonder where all of the false optimism comes from? How about from the U.S. Treasury? Just a few minutes ago, Bloomberg ran a story with the following lead: "The most recent data suggest the U.S. economy is on the road to recovery, U.S. Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill said." Huh? "Key economic indicators such as inflation, real wages, productivity, interest rates, business profits and the housing sector are all strong," O'Neill is quoted as saying. ------- ME: take from Jim Cramer's enticement to subscribe to TheStreet.com when the Trez Secy is totally effing clueless, in deep denial of the reality in economic numbers, then we face a potential crisis with the exchanged unit under his control... the USDollar these guys are worse than amateurs they know they are lying / jim
