You want to argue over dictionary definitions, there's probably a message board at dictionary.com or some place that would suit your nit-picking personality. I know what the word means and I'm perfectly happy with my use of it. I'm sure everyone else here knows what it means as well.

PS: "Compromise" has no place in negotiations when the matter to be dealt with is one of principal or great importance. If you have no principals, you may compromise on anything you wish, but don't impose that weakness on the President.
