I watch the FIG. Both because it has a good record and because Greenie watches it. For a while now its behavior can best be described as spiking. I believe Greenspan is "running out of time". The dearth of cap-ex has precluded a rekindling of growth. Instead inflation has ignited. By spring, it will be a conflagration (IMO). And if we still have negligible growth, then we have a central banker's worst nightmare - stagflation.
