Sure I can make that negative easy. >"We expect in October, November we can be meeting (customer) needs on a short lead-time basis."<

Here's is what the analysts will suggest was left unsaid...

"We expect in October, November we can be meeting (customer) needs on a short lead-time basis because we have so much unsold inventory on stock."<gg>

>Inventories are "pretty stable" he said. "We expect in October, November we can be meeting (customer) needs on a short lead-time basis."<

Of course this is negative. It means there's little backlog. Somewhat related, Maytag (home appliance maker) said it will earn less than expected because of sluggish sales of major appliances, and production cuts. How the hell is that possible with home sales running at the fastest rate since humans left the caves ? Either they are losing market share (but not to GE, since there it is slow also), or it is all coming out of inventory. Or, the rest of the world is having a very sluggish economy.
