Hi GV, RE: "Shelter--31.522%"

What's one third of Silicon Valley's housing inflation? If homes doubled over the past few years, that still would yield % increases higher than these below, wouldn't it:

Current % increases of CPI-SF YOY for most recent years: 3.2% 4.2% 4.5% 6.0%

Doesn't look like real estate is properly accounted for in the inflation figures? Is 33% what people spend in Silicon Valley on RE out of their total expenses? Most people seem to borrow way more than that - "mortgage poor" in Los Gatos.

There's a CFO of a public company who had to sell his $20M house. He moved his family to a 3 bedroom house and had to fire his housekeeper. And these are the kind of overly-leveraged people operating the finances of public companies, go figure. Is it illegal for a company not to hire a CFO candidate if you happen to hear they are really huge, excessive spenders in their personal life? Or, can something like that fall under the category of, "doesn't fit due to a mismatch of corporate culture with the executive team" ?

Regards,
Amy J
