the US fails consistently to properly measure unconventional enemies

In this case the U.S. will have to deal with Soccer Huligans!

A frenzied crowd of 40,000 at Iraq's biggest weekend football match launched into a chant at the start of the game vowing to resist a US invasion. "Saddam, Saddam, we will spill our blood for you," they shouted as they danced and jumped, waving flags in their team's colours and placards proclaiming loyalty to the Iraqi leader.

"the financial warfare"

I suspect we are already taking severe hits as we speak.

This by far is the worst risk.

GWB's economic depth was exhibited this summer in Waco.
Black or white. WIth us or against us. Glad to know GWBush goes to bed early and sleeps well with nothing on his mind. "What! Him worry?" The worse it gets the better it gets for him, Carlyle and all. Good grief.

God help us if we can live through this.

One thing you didn't mention was the possibility of an Islamic takeover of Pakistan, which would give the world the long sought Islamic Bomb, on top of all the other problems which it would create( most noticeably with India and the WOT). This is going to be such a can of worms.
