Exactly. And almost nothing is important enough to require checking. So we just accept it, tentatively, pending some reason to warrant the effort of checking. There's no reason to challenge or deny the validity of everything pending proof of its veractiy.

Then how do I check the source I checked? I mean, I am taking it on trust the the encyclopedia, dictionary, medical journal, atlas, or whatever is accurate, but they are not always. No, I have a sense of how reliable they are, and give them credence accordingly........
