Well, I don't know the answers to any of your questions, but that doesn't bother me particularly. There are lots of things I don't know.

What I do know is that the information, if true, would be damaging to Siebel's relationships and credibility with customers. If Siebel is reporting positive endorsements and those are in some way called under suspicion, I'd want to know more whether I was a prospective customer or a SEBL owner. (I'm neither, BTW.)

Perhaps like you, I'm generally skeptical of "research" because it can be so easily faked, engineered, biased, purloined, self-serving, and skewed, to mention a few misdeeds.

I would suggest that school's not out on this one.

I'd say their comments about high costs, delays, limited benefits etc. are right on the money, whatever else you may think about their motives for releasing this "research."
