The effect of news on this sector is impressive.

The EP news and the FERC accusations killed the entire sector for a few days.

The DYN news today about a settlement with the SEC over energy wash trades sent the stock up almost 50%. (from 1.03 to 1.73)i DYN closed at 1.20 for the day.

My conclusion would be that any kind of good news will send these stocks soaring on short notice. Good news like beating earnings estimates or not being implicated in the California mess.

All these companies must be on the same end of the tetter-totter, with public opinion on the other end.

Nov 2.50 calls are the way to trade MIR stock now. I will start to buy at 25 cents. The q10 is the wild card if everything is fine 300 to 400% gain. If not we might as well stick our head between our legs and kiss our ass good by.
