Let posters have their little fantasy that they know other posters and that things they post are probably so, more or less. You can get a chuckle out of indulging them in their silly little fantasy if you want. Wouldn't that be enough fun? Why is it necessary to poke them with a stick? Surely you know the answer to this as well as any of us who read this thread with regularity: X enjoys provocation. It is not enough to disagree. It is not enough to simply feel superior. She needs to stir peoples' emotions up, needs to get them angry and defensive. Only then is she pleased. And that is why she stays. Not to communicate or share in anything "real", but to provoke.
