the mandatory draft of Israeli conscripts a "slave" situation Yes, it is. We are all "Slaves of the State" to some degree. They have the gun, and the right to use it on us. The idea is too make sure that they use it as little as possible. I am happy that War, for this country, has got to the point that we don't need, and can't use, millions of conscripts. The idea, pushed by Powell, that "National Service" is good for you is a bad one, IMO. They are now trying to make "community service" a requirement for high school graduation. No thank you. Israel needs everybody to survive. We needed millions in WWII. We don't anymore.
